Track Specifications
The racing surface of Raynham/Taunton's track is 22 feet wide with the front and back stretch measuring 300 feet, the radius of the turns measuring 113 feet and the distance around turns measuring 500 feet. The degree of bank on the first turn is 19 feet, with the second being 17 feet.
The distances of each course is:
* 5/16 mile course is 1650 feet
* 3/8 mile course is 1980 feet
* 7/16 mile course is 2310 feet
The track surface is composed of a sand, silt, and clay mixture. It is approximately 8" to 10" in depth with 12" of permeable sand under surface complete with drainage lines to divert excess water.
